Beyond Expectations: Learn to use Adipose Cells and Grafts for the Optimal Clinical Outcome

Regenerative medicine is a multidisciplinary branch that focuses on developing methods to regrow, replace, or repair damaged cells, tissues, and organs. Regenerative medicine includes the use of autologous components such as adipose tissue. The human fat holds promise for unprecedented regenerative solutions in multifaced fields, spanning from the aesthetic medicine to the treatment of osteoarthritis, up to the handling of severe peripheral vascular diseases, pressure ulcers and intestinal fistula, just to mention some of the ongoing applications.

From the initial belief that the regenerative potential of the adipose tissue was only relying upon its own stem cells, we are now aware that these elements work in concert with their own microenvironment, the stromal vascular niche.

The preservation of such environmental cues allows adipose stem cells (ADSCs) operating through a “slow releasing medium”, providing the recipient tissue with a wide-ranging profile of regenerative factors where, and when they are mostly needed.

Moreover, the flexible design of the LIPOSMART SYSTEM can provide both a micro fragmented fat, or a softer, non-fragmented fat tissue derivative, embedding a seamless stromal vascular niche. These unique features allow adapting the stiffness of LIPOSMART UFAT to the visco-elastic properties of the recipient tissues, resulting in both unprecedented regenerative outcomes and handling amenability by the Surgeons. 

Even more intriguing, the multimodal conception and design of the LIPOSMART System, can provide personalized solutions, including the release of UFAT.
