Ivan Zderic works as Senior Project Leader at the Biomedical Development Program of the AO Research Institute Davos, which he joined in 2011.
He graduated in 2010 at The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich in Human Movement Sciences with Major in Biomechanics.
In 2022 Ivan Zderic received his PhD degree at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, for which he investigated in his thesis the effect of residual stresses in plates used for orthopaedic trauma surgery.
Ivan Zderic is conducting research in the field of biomechanics of bone fracture fixation as well as implant biomechanics.
He is author of over 80 peer reviewed articles and 180 conference proceedings.
Ivan Zderic is member of the European Orthopaedic Research Society and the European Society of Biomechanics.
He was awarded with the Edward R. Valstar Award for the best overall oral presentation at the 31st annual meeting of the European Orthopaedic Research Society in 2023.
