Dr. Soichi Hattori is a Japanese board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided surgery for foot and ankle disorders. His research focuses on integrating real-time imaging into minimally invasive orthopedic procedures to improve surgical accuracy and safety.
Dr. Hattori earned his Ph.D. from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, where he studied the anatomy and biomechanics of ankle ligaments. He has authored numerous publications on ultrasound-guided ligament repair and dynamic ultrasound assessment.
An area editor of the Journal of Medical Ultrasonics and reviewer for several leading journals, Dr. Hattori continues to advance the role of ultrasound in orthopedic surgery and education at the University of Pittsburgh.
