Building up on the need for innovative, evidence based and effective regenerative treatments in orthopedics, Regenerative Medicine Orthopedic Society (RMOS) was founded by an international group of key opinion leaders led by Prof. Tahsin Beyzadeoglu and Ass. Prof. George Skarpas, in September 2022. The aim of the society was to a bring together international experts with a passion for regenerative treatments in musculo-skeletal disorders, fostering collaboration, organizing educational programs, courses & summits. The society was met with enthusiastic support from orthopedic surgeons, researchers, and other healthcare professionals who shared the same belief in the potential of regenerative medicine.
The first significant milestone of RMOS came with the organization of the inaugural RMOS Summit in December 2022 in Athens, Greece, spearheaded by Ass. Prof. George Skarpas. The event served as a testament to the society’s vision, bringing together professionals from around the world to share insights, present research, and foster collaborations in the field of regenerative medicine and orthopedics.
The society’s momentum continued with the second summit in May 2023, held in Naples, Italy, under the stewardship of Dr. Fabio Sciarretta. The event further consolidated RMOS’s standing as a leading force in the field, reinforcing its commitment to the promotion of regenerative medicine in orthopedics.
The third RMOS summit was held in Istanbul, Turkey, in November 2023 under the leadership of Prof. Tahsin Beyzadeoglu, with a significant increase in the number of delegates and industry presence.
The fourth summit took place in Miami USA, in December 2024 and reflected the maturing of the society, with a pre-summit Orthobiologic Bootcamp in Cadavers and Live Regenerative Medicine Procedures Broadcast. Key opinion leaders on the cutting edge of regenerative orthopedics presented their latest research. Giants of regenerative orthopedics; Stephen Abelow, Tom Minas, Peter Everts & Ramon Cugat were recognized with awards for their lifetime achievements.
The 5th RMOS summit will be held in Tokyo, Japan, in 19-21 March 2026, again changing continents. This promises to be an amazing event focusing on all aspects of regenerative orthopedics, ranging from sports injuries to cartilage restoration and treatment of osteoarthritis. We are looking forward to welcoming you in Aspetar and invite you to present your work in this exclusive international event.
