Dr. Tomohiro Matsui is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine. He is currently affiliated with the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Center at Takanohara Sports Medicine, Japan. He previously served in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Saiseikai Nara Hospital from 2017 to 2024.
In 2022, Dr. Matsui completed a clinical fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Pittsburgh under the supervision of Dr. Onishi. He received his medical degree from Nara Medical University in 2007.
Dr. Matsui serves as a medical committee member of the Japan Volleyball Association and as a team physician for Nara Club, a professional football (J-League) team in Japan.
He is an active member of the Japanese Orthopaedic Association, the Japanese Society for Surgery of the Foot, the Japanese Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Japanese Society of Clinical Sports Medicine, and the Japanese Society of Orthopedic Ultrasonics.
