Dr. Lelli is a renowned Orthopaedic and Traumatology specialist whose career has been marked by dedication, excellence, and a commitment to advancing the field of knee ligaments reconstruction. Dr Lelli graduated in 1980 at the University of Bologna. Postgraduate Degree in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Rizzoli Institute, Bologna, in 1985 .From January 1996 to July 2000, he served as the Director of Orthopaedics at Casa di Cura San Pier Damiano in Faenza, Italy. From 1996 to October 2014, Dr. Lelli held the position of Director of The Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Centre at Hospital Villa Laura in Bologna, Italy. In January 2013 became a member of the International Faculty for ligament surgery and prosthetic surgery. From 2013 onward, Dr. Lelli dedicated himself to sharing his knowledge and expertise in knee ligaments reconstruction. He participated in numerous international events aimed at teaching orthopaedic surgeries to surgeons from China, Iran, and India. In September 2015, Dr. Lelli’s contributions to orthopaedic surgery were acknowledged when he was appointed an honorary professor at the University of Shen Zen, China. In 2016, he presented “the Lelli test”a new diagnostic test to detect ACL lesions. Currently, lever test is recognized as one of key diagnostic tests in knee ligament injuries. Since 2022 he is member of SICOT of the sport traumatology and arthroscopy sub speciality committee.
