Dr. Trifon Totlis, MD, PhD was born in 1983 in Thessaloniki, Greece. Currently, he is working as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon, in The-MIS orthopaedic center, St Luke’s private Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece and Assist. Professor in surgical anatomy, Medical School, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. His clinical and research interest is focused on knee soft tissue and arthroplasty surgery, sports traumatology, anatomy and orthobiologics.
Dr. Totlis has received 4 scholarships (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, ICRS, ISAKOS, AANA) and the 2017-19 ISAKOS new researcher grant. Performed clinical training on knee surgery, sports injuries, arthroscopy at St. Anna Hospital, Herne, Germany and the Sports Medicine Division, RUSH University Hospital, Chicago, IL, USA.
He is an active member in ESSKA, ICRS, RMOS, Board Member of the European Knee Associates (a section of ESSKA), Vice-President of the Regenerative Medicine Research Association of Greece and Board Member of the Sports Medicine Association of Greece.
Has published more than 100 full-text articles in peer-reviewed Journals, out of them 70 included in Pubmed/Scopus (IF: 134.211 / H-index:15). Author in 4 book chapters and has provided several lectures in national and international Congresses.
