Orthopaedic innovations

  • Biological repair of osteochondral damage in the knee with an innovative method using stem cells obtained from Wharton’s jelly of the umbilical cord and deposited on biological matrices using the dry arthroscopy technique.
  • New concept of arthroscopical debridement considering Steadman’s rules using Chondrectomes – special devices for cartilage debridement.( patent in EU )
  • Dry arthroscopy technique for implantation of the osteochondral scaffolds in the knee and ankle joint using retraction system and special designed devices for biomaterials insertion.
  • Arthroholder -a platform for holding lower limbs during MRI and CT examination- allows examination of both limbs (healthy and damaged) while loading and external forces applied. ( patent pending).
